Menorca

Minorca (Menorca in Spanish) has a big diversity of landscapes. There’s a countryside, a cityside, vast green fields, mountains, rock ground, rock walls, prehistoric monuments, cities with beautiful old typic of Spain architecture, rocky shores and clear water beaches.
It’s an island placed on the Balearic Islands, in Spain, and it’s a great family destination with around 50 beaches. The whole island has become a biosphere reserve by Unesco, to preserve the incredible fauna and flora.

The island has eight administrative divisions:
  • Maó (or Mahon)
  • Es Castell
  • Sant Lluis
  • Alaior
  • Es Mercada
  • Es Migjorn Gran
  • Ferreries
  • Ciutadella.

Information:
Population: 95.000
Language: Menorquí, Spanish and Catalan (in touristic areas they speak english too)
Coin: Euro
Best period to go: April to September (August is when is more full of tourists)
Capital: Maó (or Mahon)
Culinary: Fish and sea food are the most common options in restaurants, there is also the Mahon cheese, Minorcan mayonnaise and Pomada, a gin with lemon drink produced there.

You should rent a car or a motorbike if you want to go to all of the beaches, because they are far from each other. There are buses too but it’s not the better option. Another option is renting a bike, and going by bus from one city to another.
The major towns are Mahon and Ciutadella, that are the ones that are recommended and I will talk about them.
You must carry your passport with you by law, and you will probably have to show it if you are paying by credit card.

Cancún

Cancún is a beach city in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico, that has plenty of restaurants, 5 stars resorts, shoppings, clubs and a lot more! It’s a famous touristic city because of the wonderful beaches, it’s also an expensive city.

Information:

Weather: Tropical and humid it goes from 20 to 30 degrees.
Car rental is not necessary since there’s a good bus system and taxis too.
Stay in a resort! It’s really worth it. The resorts are spectacular and you get amazed by how beautiful and wonderful they are, and there are many of them!
If you are going to the parks, I recommend you to buy a water shoe, and don’t buy it in the parks because is more expansive, buy it in mercado 28 or another store.

Attractions to do in Cancún:
Kukulcan Plaza and Luxury Avenue
These two shoppings have a lot of Mexican culture and expensive fancy stores.

Swimming with dolphins (available in the X-caret park, Lasnai shopping and Isla Mujeres).

Sky rider: You fly in a ballon that is being taken by a boat, it's super nice!

Chichen Itza: You can see the Mayan culture and the tour plus guide is 70 dollars.

Playa del Carmen: Wonderful famous beach.

Jungle tour: You drive your own motor boat and there’s a tour with a snorkel stop, it's 60 dollars from 3 to 4 hours.

Jet Ski: 40 dollars-30 minutes (sometimes it some other place is more expansive or cheap).

 Jetpack: "rocket water backpack”.

Flyboard: Water rocket in your feet.

Hoverboard: Water skate, 90 dollars
